Taking a deposit for a phone booking has always been a bit awkward. Asking for a card number over the phone feels uncomfortable, and skipping the deposit means leaving your revenue unprotected.
Payment links solve that. Send a text or email with a link so your clients can pay instantly. Great for securing a deposit for phone bookings or if a client forgets their wallet.
The client clicks the link, pays securely, and gets a receipt automatically. You’ll have their card on file for next time. You get paid, without an awkward conversation.
With Payment Links you can:
- Send a payment link to a client via text or email
- Collect a remote deposit for phone bookings without needing a card reader
- Send clients a link to pay an outstanding invoice
- Automatically send a receipt once payment is confirmed
- Let clients save their card for future use
- View pending, expired, and paid payment link invoices
How it works
Sending a payment link takes seconds. From the appointment or invoice in Kitomba 1, select Payment Link as the payment method and choose to send via text or email. The client receives the link, clicks it, pays securely, and gets a receipt automatically.
If the client saves their card during checkout, it’s stored securely for next time. This lets you charge their card for deposits, cancellation fees and appointments in the future. No card terminal needed.
What’s PIN Access?
PIN Access is a mode in Kitomba 1 that lets staff switch user profiles with a 4-digit PIN instead of logging in and out. It includes a timeout feature that locks Kitomba 1 after a period of inactivity, keeping your system secure on the salon floor.
Having PIN access turned on ensures higher security, and unlocks Payment links and other Kitomba Pay features.
