Send your cash drawer reconciliation from Kitomba to Xero

The trial for Kitomba’s Xero integration is almost here! Soon you’ll be able to send your cash drawer reconciliation from Kitomba to Xero.

Below is some information to help you get prepared for the upcoming release.


How will it work?

Kitomba’s Xero integration has been designed to help you quickly and accurately send your cash drawer reconciliation from Kitomba to Xero. This means you’ll have the right information in Xero to use all the cool features it has that’ll make your life easier.

Here’s how to set up our Xero integration:

  1. Connect to your Xero account in Kitomba One.

  2. Link your Kitomba payment types to your Xero accounts.

  3. Link your Kitomba tax rates to your Xero tax rates.

  4. Choose a default revenue account.

Here’s how it’ll work:

  1. Reconcile your cash drawer in Kitomba every business day.

  2. Click the ‘Finalise and send to Xero’ button on your cash drawer reconciliation.

  3. Your reconciliation will automatically appear in your Xero account as a sales invoice.

What do you need to do?

The release isn’t far away and we’d like you to be able to get started as soon as it’s here. So read through our checklist to prepare in advance:

  1. Review your Kitomba payment types in the Kitomba Admin tab. For tips on how to set these up, check out our support guide.

  2. Check your Xero accounts are set up correctly in the chart of accounts. Visit Xero’s support guide for assistance.

  3. Check that your Kitomba payment types and Xero accounts match. Remember you’ll need to link them together. Visit our support guide for some tips.

  4. Connect your bank account to Xero if you’d like to reconcile your Kitomba takings with your bank deposits. Xero’s support guide explains how to do this.
