Making appointments

To make it even faster to make appointments we've added in the option of a brand new service selection screen:

Now, you can quickly select from a list of recent services for the client, or you can select based on category, you can pick from one large list or you can even search for that elusive service. You can also pick all your services in one go. Once you have selected your services you can add more, with the big green + , or remove them easily with the little red x.

Working with your Services Products and Appointment types

We all think of Services and Products differently so Kitomba now separates them into two different areas in the Cards tab. The product search includes retail, professional and vouchers The Service Search now includes all the appointment types shown together with their charges in one area. (These are no longer shown in the Admin tab). When you make a new appointment type you now do it under Services in the Cards tab. To make a new service select: 'This service appears on the calendar' and then 'This service has a price' to add in the price.

Referrals

We've added a whole new referral tracking system!

You can now track and record where your customers are coming from. It could be from one of your existing customers, Yellow pages, Radio advert, your latest Kitomba campaign or somewhere else. No matter where clients come from, you can track where it is and put your marketing money where it makes the most difference.

The Referral Summary report shows how well your various referral methods are working. The Customer Referrals report shows which of your customers are the best referrers and how much business they bring in.

Calendars

A few new gems on the calendar: You can now right click to copy an appointment and then right click to paste it as many times as you need. The appointments themselves have an improved rounded look. A new 'cancellations' alert button shows if customer has a no-show or cancelled appointment recorded on their file in the last 6 months.

Finding customers

When you are searching for a client, you can type in the first or last name and Kitomba will automatically begin searching. You can use the arrow down key and then enter to select the customer or can click with the mouse.

Working Remotely

Kitomba Remote Manager has been significantly sped up. Plus it now regularly checks and reconnects to the main computer if your internet connection has a blip.

Other cool new stuff

• When you are adding a new customer Kitomba will automatically capitalize the first and last names as you type
• It's easier to remove payments and invoice lines on invoices. Just click on the red X to delete
• The 'F2' list in invoices has been changed to come up automatically. When you begin typing it will show you suggestions that match what you've typed. F3 still displays only services and F4 displays only products.
• Guys & Gals. Kitomba can help you update the gender information for your customers. On any of your services in Kitomba you can record if a service is gender specific (i.e., only a female gets it or only a male gets it). If you do this, Kitomba will automatically update the client's gender information (if it hasn't already been set) when they book in for that service.
