The team have made some big improvements in this area. Kitomba™ now has:

• Balance your "plastic" credit/debit card terminal and Kitomba easily at the end of the day
• Speed up processing of client payments when they come to leave
• Make fraud even harder for any dishonest types

How it works

Kitomba™ sends the sale details to your terminal and all your customer has to do is swipe their card, elect their account type and enter their pin number. Your terminal will tell Kitomba™ whether the transaction has been Accepted or Declined.

Requirements for card-link;

Kitomba™ works with all the major "plastic" terminal providers;

• DPS
• Cadmus
• EFTPOS New Zealand
• Provenco (available once they approve it)
• Others let us know if you use another provider so we can support them too

1. Your credit/debit terminal needs to be connected to your Kitomba™ computer via a serial cable. You can get these from your terminal provider (they can also connect the cable between the computer and the terminal).
2. Your computer needs
   1. a spare serial port or
   2. a spare USB port plus a USB-Serial cable (we can supply you one of these).
3. If your terminal is a little older, you may need to upgrade the software on it. When you talk to your terminal provider to get the serial cable, tell them Kitomba™ interfaces with their terminal and they will be able to advise you if you require an terminal software upgrade or not. Terminal software upgrades are usually done at the time the cable is connected (at no extra cost).

In terms of Kitomba™ fees a small weekly charge per Kitomba™ running card link applies with no setup fee. The "plastic" companies tell us they will levy a one off charge for one of their people to come and connect your terminal(s) and your computer.
