New Online Booking staff selection updates

We’re always listening to feedback and have been working on some Online Booking staff selection updates.

Check out the changes and additions:

The way your clients make an Online Booking has changed

You have a new Online Booking setting – ‘Staff defaults to ‘anyone’. This setting has been defaulted to ON (ticked).

If this setting is ON

When your clients book online, the staff option will default to ‘anyone’. This will improve the Online Booking experience by reducing the time it takes to make a booking and simplifying the process.

Default to anyone

We recommend leaving this setting ON because if a client chooses a combination of staff people who aren’t available at suitable times for a multi service appointment, your client will be unable to make a booking.

If this setting is OFF

If you choose to turn this setting OFF (untick) your clients will need to select ‘anyone’ or a specific staff member before they can proceed to choose a day and time and complete their booking.

Does not default to anyone

‘Anyone’ staff selection has been improved

We’ve improved the way Kitomba selects a staff person when a client chooses to book with ‘anyone’. Now Kitomba will ensure appointments made via Online Booking are evenly shared among your team.

New setting: Book all services with the same staff person

You have another new Online Booking setting – ‘Allow only one staff member to be selected per booking’. This setting is defaulted to OFF (unticked).

If this setting is OFF

Nothing will change. Your clients are still able to choose different staff for different services, even if one staff person can do them all.

Choose staff for each service

If this setting is ON

By turning this setting ON your clients will only be given the option to book all their services with one staff person.

Untitled design (5)If there isn’t one staff person available with the capabilities to complete all the services, Kitomba will allow your clients to choose a staff person for each of their services. That way they can still complete their booking.

Your clients can book up to 12 months in advance

We’ve extended the Online Booking calendar to accept bookings up to 12 months in advance. Now your clients can book for Christmas or a holiday well ahead of time ensuring preferred dates and times are still available!
